Online Training Links

The Department requests that all staff complete the University's online Equality and Diversity training: http://www.equality.admin.cam.ac.uk/training/equality-diversity-online-training

In view of the large number of email and other scams directed at University employees, staff should consider training in Online Security Awareness: http://www.securitytraining.uis.cam.ac.uk/

All members of staff with financial and purchasing responsibilities are advised to annually complete the Anti-Bribery and Corruption training: http://intranet.eng.cam.ac.uk/departmental-administration/bac/

The University is obliged by law to pay “due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism”, which is commonly referred to as the Prevent Duty. The University has launched a Prevent Training Moodle site to support its staff in understanding their role in safeguarding students and colleagues in the context of the Prevent Duty.

Training on Understanding Uconscious or Implicit Bias is available online: http://www.equality.admin.cam.ac.uk/training-overview/understanding-unconscious-implicit-bias. This training module introduces implicit bias and the impact it can have, and gives the opportunity to think about situations where one's own unconscious bias might affect the ability to make objective decisions or judgements.

The Data Protection Training for Administrators online course is crucial for any administrator who may find themselves in possession of either personal data, or sensitive personal data, as defined by the Data Protection Act. There is also an online course more focused on the safety of research data called Data Protection for Academic Staff
