Academic-Related Regrading

All Queries regarding Contribution Increments should be directed to the HR Office.

The Secretary of Department's (Admin and HR) Office will arrange and manage a review of the grading of all academic-related and assistant staff post in grades 1-11 at least once a year. Eligible staff and line managers will be informed when a review is taking place. If an application for regrading is to succeed, there must be clear evidence on the updated role profile (PD 33) that the responsibilities of the post have permanently changed to a level that would justify movement to a higher grade. The following are not sufficient grounds for regrading:

  • future or possible development of the post;
  • an increase in the volume of work;
  • an increase in the capabilities of the post holder.
